Facts below are bounded to the official source ledger reviewed on September 4, 2026. Calculations and recommendations are labeled separately; unverified operating outcomes remain unknown.

Who LearnWorlds fits

  • A structured course catalog is the product and learning paths matter.
  • Assessments, certificates, interactive video, or SCORM packages are real requirements.
  • You want a hosted school, sales pages, checkout, and learner reporting in one system.
  • You can select a plan from required capabilities rather than headline price alone.

Who should pause

  • A rich community-first experience is the main product rather than course support.
  • You need API, webhooks, advanced SSO, or custom roles below Learning Center.
  • A completely white-labeled learner experience is required on Starter or Pro Trainer.
  • You need a one-file course export or a proven full-school reconstruction workflow.
  • Your Starter economics cannot absorb a fee for every paid enrollment.

Use the course-first versus community-first guidebefore treating the larger feature list as an automatic advantage.

Current plan and fee comparison

These subscription and platform-fee inputs do not include tax or gateway costs. Stripe, PayPal, or another provider may charge its own fees: payment-processor fees are separate from LearnWorlds' $5 Starter enrollment fee.

Course authoring and learning experience

Official plan documentation lists unlimited paid courses across plans, AI course and assessment creation, video hosting, ebook pages, and core assessment types. Pro Trainer adds unlimited free courses and learning paths, certificates, live meetings and webinars, richer interactive-video capability, and up to 20 SCORM and HTML5 packages. Learning Center raises SCORM/HTML5 to unlimited and adds advanced reporting and automation.

INFERENCE

Feature availability establishes tooling, not instructional quality. Trial one real assessment, certificate rule, SCORM package, video workflow, and progress report before buying.

Community and memberships

Every plan lists a built-in social network with posts, comments, likes, private groups, profiles, a people directory, and direct messages. Pro Trainer adds subscriptions, memberships, payment plans, bundles, and the built-in school affiliate-management feature.

This is useful course context, but the documentation reviewed here does not prove the same space architecture, event experience, moderation workflow, or engagement model as a community-first platform. Compare operating models in thecourse and community platform comparison.

Website, branding, and mobile app

LearnWorlds lists site templates, theme controls, a page builder, a custom domain, and selling on that domain. The pricing page positions full white-label—removing LearnWorlds logos—on Learning Center. A branded mobile app is an add-on on Pro Trainer and above, not included in the published base price; Starter is not listed for that add-on.

Confirm the app quote, store-account responsibilities, launch timing, and which visible LearnWorlds marks remain on the chosen web plan before treating “branded” as “fully white-label.”

Automation, integrations, API, and SSO

Pro Trainer advertises 50+ built-in integrations and the plan matrix places Zapier there and above. The public matrix places the REST API, webhooks, advanced automations, advanced HubSpot integration, additional user roles, and up to three SAML/OIDC identity providers on Learning Center rather than Pro Trainer. Corporate publishes higher or custom limits.

Test the exact trigger, action, field mapping, rate limit, identity provider, and admin permission you require. “Integrates with” is not proof that a specific workflow is supported.

Payments and selling

LearnWorlds documents Stripe, PayPal, and Shopify gateway support plus checkout, coupons, discounts, and order bumps. Pro Trainer adds bundles, tiered subscriptions, installments, memberships, and payment plans. Official help says subscription sales and payment plans require Stripe, so gateway choice is a functional constraint rather than a cosmetic setting.

Keep four lines separate in a budget: subscription price, LearnWorlds enrollment fee, payment-processor fee, and optional add-ons or external services. Use thetotal cost calculator for a broader scenario.

Cancellation, export, and portability

The terms say a downgrade is scheduled for the end of the current term and removes plan-specific features. Canceling an auto-renewing subscription normally stops renewal; access continues through the paid term and a general refund is not provided, subject to limited rights and exceptions stated in the terms.

Official help documents CSV/XLS exports for users and sales, product and canceled-order exports, a limited activity-log export, progress reporting on Pro Trainer and above, and exports for assessment questions, responses, and certificates. Entire courses cannot be exported as a single file.

Not verified

Complete portability remains unknown. The listed exports do not prove reconstruction of course structure, uploaded video, ebook layouts, community history, automations, site design, payment subscriptions, and settings on another platform.

Starter-versus-Pro-Trainer handoff

CALCULATED

On monthly billing, Pro Trainer costs $70 more before enrollment fees. At $5 per paid Starter enrollment, the simple subscription-plus-platform-fee boundary is 14 paid enrollments per month: ($99 − $29) / $5 = 14.

CALCULATED

Using the published annual monthly equivalents, the gap is $55, producing a boundary of 11 paid enrollments per month: ($79 − $24) / $5 = 11.

This is a narrow calculation, not a plan recommendation. Pro-only courses, certificates, SCORM, subscriptions, reporting, integrations, or team seats can require Pro earlier; refunds, taxes, processor fees, discounts, and add-ons need their own inputs. The later calculator task can model those details without changing this article's verified facts.

Trial checklist

  1. Build one representative course with video, assessment, completion, and certificate rules.
  2. Import one real SCORM package if that format is required.
  3. Run checkout, refund, subscription, coupon, and tax scenarios in the intended currency.
  4. Test community structure and messages with instructor and learner accounts.
  5. Verify every required Zapier, API, webhook, SSO, and admin-role boundary.
  6. Export users, sales, progress, assessments, certificates, and every course asset you need.

Affiliate-program status

OFFICIAL_SOURCE_CONFLICT

LearnWorlds' public Partners Club page and public affiliate terms conflict on payout methods and timing details. Status: HUMAN_OR_MERCHANT_CONFIRMATION_REQUIRED. No affiliate link is active, and the conflict does not change the product verdict.

The marketing page currently advertises up to 30% recurring commission and a 90-day cookie. These are commercial-research observations, not product economics or a reason to rank LearnWorlds. Current enrollment terms must be captured before any future activation.
